Gotta disagree with you there. Think the power dynamics tipping creates within a restaurant (fighting for tables, or who you have to tip out) ultimately, leave the guest behind. But, a restaurant also needs to make hospitality a priority, and take an active role in hiring the right employees, and coaching those who aren’t up to snuff. Like any job, performance needs to be monitored, and evaluated, on a regular basis. But, culture plays a key role, and if the team-oriented work environment isn’t constantly kept in check, it can easily unravel.
